    I have been trying to reach Sheraton headquarters regarding my reservation in DC during the inauguration. I respectfully requested a change in date and the GM is not receptive to any change even considering the safety concerns. I need help resolving this issue please!


    I would like a callback from a manager whom can assist with an incident that occurred at Four Points at Sheraton Charlotte, NC at the East Woodlawn location. My vehicle was broken into and a lot of expensive items were confiscated from the trunk of my vehicle. The incident occurred in front of one of your video cameras but oddly enough the only 1 person who knew how to pull the footage was on vacation on 3/19 according to Manager Christina Godzuk. Please have someone contact me at their earliest convenience so that the video footage is able to be reviewed by police and items stolen are able to be repossessed.

    I am associated with the NCAA and military liaison program and was informed this morning that I will no longer be traveling to Sioux Falls, SD for the NCAA Div-II wrestling championships due to the recent COVID-19 Statement released by the NCAA President Mark Emmert – essentially restricting staff and members from attending the event.

    I immediately contacted the Sheraton Sioux Fall [1211 NW Ave Sioux Fall – 605-331-0100] spoke with a Robin, whom confirmed with the site manager that I would not be receiving my reimbursement-cancellation. This is a sum of $264. I was informed that my call was not outside the 48hr notification policy. As an additional note, I was neither made aware when the reservation was made that there was a 48hr cancellation policy nor did I receive an e-mail confirmation. When I spoke with Robin this morning she agreed that the e-mail address that my confirmation was sent to the wrong address.

    I am requesting a full reimbursement of my 1-night stay due to the fact that I was never made aware of the 48hr policy [fault on Sheraton Sioux Falls for having an inaccurate e-mail address] and the circumstances of the COVID-19 which is neither within my control or choice of my actions to travel to Sioux Falls, SD.

    As a member of the military and our processes of fiscal accountability, it is extremely disappointing that Sheraton Sioux Falls is choosing to not support neither the NCAA nor the U.S. Military under the circumstances that are not within our control and have been handled efficiently.

    I am a member of The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Virginia. In August 2019 we were contacted by Megan Williams, Convention Services Manager of the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia concerning the purchase of poppy flowers. Since the Hotel is located adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery she had a project in mind for their clients who stayed at the Hotel and attended services at the Cemetery. She was told that The American Legion Auxiliary (TALA) does not sell the poppies made by veterans but we distribute them and accept donations. That was fine with her and on September 9, 2019 I met with Megan and Jeffery Waddell (who was then the General Manager of the Hotel but has since separted), and gave them 200 poppies as a trial for her project. It was agreed at that time that Sheraton would make a $200 donation to my Auxiliary Unit for the poppies but that it had to go through the New York office. After approximately 6-8 weeks I tried to call Megan and Jeffery and no one was answering the phones. I left several messages but again did not receive any call back. In late November I finally sent an email addressed to Megan and Jeffery after which a John Jordan, Director of Sales called to inform me that Mr. Waddell was no longer with the Hotel. He did find that a claim had never been processed for this donation and he would get right on it. Well, again nothing happened and toward the last of December I did get in touch with Megan who indicated she would go right down to his office and see what was going on. I’ve never heard back from her and again no one answers their phones. I don’t know if they are even still at Sheraton. When John called me he even upped the amount of the donation to $300 to help cover my frustration from not having received anything yet. My Unit is a small auxiliary unit and we work very hard for the money we spend on our veterans. The donations we receive from the poppies can only be used for veterans and nothing else. We depend on this money to help our veterans throughout the year. Right now I have a very bad taste in my mouth about Sheraton Hotels as they seem to take your money and run and don’t bother to pay anything back. I will not be giving them any more poppies and if anyone else wants some, they will give me the donation up front before they get any poppies. I would like an explanation as to what has happened and why my Unit has not received the $300 we were to get for these poppies. It might not seem like much to a lot of people but it is a lot of money to my Unit and we don’t like to be cheated out of our money.
