    I made a purchase at Family Dollar on April 29, 2023. I used my debit card. On May 15, 2023, I returned the item and a refund was credited to my card. The clerk stated “it normally takes 5 days for the refund to appear on my bank statement.” Well as of today, it’s been ten days and my account has not been credited.

    I was in Family Dollar a month before i was shopping getting a few items. My daughter was playing in the store running from her sister, so i hid so my girls couldn’t see me. These two employees told all of the kids to leave the store or they will be calling the police. I told these to employees that I am not a kid that I am a grown woman and watch how she was talking to my kids. So she walked up on me in my face arguing with me about my kids. So we left the store. I was in Family Dollar Wednesday May 17 2023. My daughter was sitting on some tissue and I’m shopping around the store. I had a basket full of items. I told my daughter to ignore this person she told me to get out of the store. Then she said she tired of you people. I find that very disrespectful and racist. I took a picture of this person and the store. To report this problem to their headquarters. So if anybody can please contact me about this situation. The Store is located at 8535 10 mile rd.

      On 06/21/2023 I had the same experience except 1 employee and a man that wasn’t an employee accused my kids of stealing which they wasn’t. They had my EBT card for their purchase.y brother tried talking to the employee like an adult she called my a b***h then called him a MF. I been trying to do a complaint every since yesterday

    I was visiting this store April 23 and Jen and three others were disregarding me for bout ten or so minutes when asked Jen rudely says Sat your items be with you soon I’m currently aiding my friend to whom her son was stealing from the store she was a distraction Jen then if you’re in rush go to dollar general I now shops dollar general.     Wow I just read many many, actually too many complaints about the Family Dollar stores all over the USA. I was just going to also complain about the RUDE, unfriendly n nasty manager. (Bad name for such an evil person) who’s called Manager. The store we use is in Enola, PA. She’s down right the most miserable person I’ve met while shopping everywhere. We lived in NC 6 yrs. Every single store, restaurant etc you enter n leave always yes Always greets you with; thank you for shopping at Walmart, Family tree, Dollar General, Walgreens, etc. etc. but this gal never talks if you speak to her and she absolutely NEVER EVER smiles. There were 4 customers in line I got to cash register with this rude gal said don’t you ever smile she said no. I told her you get less wrinkles by smiling then if your always smoking. Looking behind me the other people agreed. If she doesn’t like her job she should never ever be a manager or even an employee!
    I won’t frequent that store ever again. Because if I did I’d have to do your job for you and put her in her place and tell her act like a friendly manager or get out! Fired on the spot. I’ve been in management for over 55 yrs. Now retired n I’ve never ever had any employee act like that to the public since we’re paying their salary thru purchases. I feel bad for any employees there having to work under that type of rude, condensing personality. She needs to go asap since you’re already losing many customers in the Enola etc. areas.
    I’d recommend you stop in and watch her at her job and save this store but mostly your companies reputation.
    I’ll take Dollar Tree n $ General over Family $ any day.
    You’re not impressing anyone at the Proffesional offices that it’s worth while to shop at your stores in any State of the
    USA. A piss poor management system you have n it needs changed before all your stores lose more business and you go bankrupt. Sooner than you realize I’m afraid.

      I BEEN GOING TO FAMILY DOLLARS FOR YEAR IN NEW ORLEANS LA A CUSTOMER DROP HIS WALET AND I RETURN THE WALLET. THEN I WAS ACCUSED OF USING THE CUSTOM CREDIT CARD AND USING. THE POLICE WAS CALL OUT AND WHEN THE SURVEILLANCE CAMARA WAS RAN BACK IT WAS MY OWN CREDIT CARD. THEY LIED ON ME AND TRIED TO HAVE ME ARRESTED. IWAS ACCUSED OF STEALING.

      I’ve been trying to post a complaint, but they sure dont make it easy. I’m sorry for using your complaint to get this out there.. but here is what happened to me .. This is FD at 152 McKees Rocks Plaz store # 00775
      I first noticed one man at the register with a line, one older lady putting away items on the shelves and two young ladies sitting by the computer
      ( where you can fill out an application) laughing and carrying on. I thought they were customers. Then I noticed a big bin full of Easter stuffed animals and two carts full of Easter things all marked 75% off. I picked out a few items, as well as what I had gone in for and stood in line at the register while the male worked as fast as he could and still the young ladies sitting and laughing and playing on their phones. When he started to ring me out he said ” I am not allowed to sell this to you because it’s ringing up a penny” .. I thought he was joking. Then he called over the two young ladies and that is when I found out one of them was a manager .. she said the same thing.. She said ( and I’m quoting) I”m only allowed to throw them away now. I was appalled!!!! They then had to re-ring all the other items up, which meant I had to take everything out of the bags so he could ring it all up again ( without the specially priced Easter items of course)
      Finally, I got home and went over my receipt and found that I was charged for 6 sets of silverware and I only bought 3, and 7 packs of gum and I only bought 5 ( $6 over charge) … this was at 10:01am on 4/24/23 .

    First, let me say that I shop at ALL the FAMILY DOLLARS as well as DOLLAR TREES! Im older and I understand some of the young people that works there. I frequent the Florissant Stores in St. Louis, Mo. I definitely try not to return ANYTHING!! I purchased a feminine product for someone. It was the wrong kind. I was greeted by the so called manager coming from the back saying “another return”! Instantly could sense ATTITUDE! She informed me that of the store policy of no return on any of those items. I asked her to show me the sign that states that. She said thats just how it is with attitude! Wouldnt give me district managers # or her last name. First name GABBY! Now Im pissed! I invited her outside and definitely had choice words! Spend too much money at FD not to be able to ask a question! Customers talking about BOYCOTTING FD! Im AL IN!!!

    I shop at our local store n charlstn, mo I jus came to realize tht our manager has been let go Very nice young lady I understand tht there was an altercation She was threatened by another employee Of course corporate takes over and fires our local manager and puts n an outta- towner!! I wish to defend ths girl I was also taught to protect myself For my kids, and my family!! I ask you to reconsider your decision and give ths family their job back It is Christmas!!!     I am a completely dissatisfied customer. I made a substantial purchase yesterday including toy items for charity and there happened to be a buy one get one 50% off promotion going on, so I decided to purchase another item. After returning home and preparing to wrap the gifts I discovered one of the toy items that was 50% off was cracked and the plastic was jagged and pointed. Since this is a gift for a 6 year old boy I figured I should return it for one that was not broken. At the register I was told they would not exchange the item for a new one because it was 50% off. What does that have to do with a damaged item??????????? A purchase is a purchase! The item was $10.00 so at 50% I only paid $5.00 for it but regardless it was damaged. If this is your return policy I can guarantee I will no longer be shopping at Family Dollar. This is absurd!!!!!!

    I went to family dollar in houston tx on cullen blvd, lousy service, went in to buy a bottle of scope prize said 4.20 went to check out and it ring up to 5.50 when ask why manager said that is the prize if you like it if not she said to ho to another store, what kind of manager tells you to go to another store like i said lousy servive that store got shot a couple of times now i know why won’t go there anymore lousy lousy lousy, need diferente people there not that kind, im taking my business some where else there loos

    I went to a Family Dollar in Houston, Texas. I can understand carding a person 21 and under for cigarettes but clearly not an older person. I am 62 and look old. And for the teenager that was the cashier to tell me I was rude was unacceptable. First of all I am old. Second of all, it’s not the law. I go to different Family Dollars all the time. Never carded before. Show the dummy my ID and mind you I flashed quickly. She never saw it. She needs more training. I know no one is gonna do anything about it but she needs to learn manners and customer service skills. And believe I will teach her.

    Went into a Family Dollar Store 12756 in New Middletown, OH and it was immaculate. I couldn’t believe it because a lot of the other FD stores are pretty trashed. It was actually pleasant to shop for a change and it had a friendly staff.

The person that called me and scheduled the interview was not the person that interviewed me. The person that interviewed me stated, she was the store Manager but did not speak any English at all.This lady offered me a different position for which I applied and a lower pay rate. #discrinationsuit

    I shop Family Dollar often and pay attention to prices just like in a grocery store. I have noticed that the price code on the shelf does not match what rings up at the register or shows on the receipt. Bought soap pods listed for 7.50 on the shelf but rang up at 8.00 at the checkout along with a pack of tp for 4.75, ringing up at 5.00. Although this is .75, it’s .75 cents saved to me. The customer service gals didn’t seem pleased to being told. I would report it to corporate office, I said. At least be honest with prices and service. This is not the first time I have noticed the price change .

    I shop there to save money in this recession and YOU just take advantage of us.
    You pack less but still charge the same amount like for instance yesterday I bought a pack of Slim Jim’s(little ones) There use to be 4 in a pack for $1.00
    Then you went up to $1.25 now there’s 3 in a pack for $1.25… REALLY?
    I’m sick of getting less for the same price

      Family Dollar doesn’t package the products so what ever the company do with there products have nothing to do with Family Dollar. Where in the world can you say that when the product item is less that the price goes down.
      Come on lady this is happing all over the world and in all stores Family Dollar could have just stop selling them all together then you would be on their page complaining about them grow your own food then you can complain about yourself.

    I was in the Family Dollar in Hazelwood, in St.Louis County, I had never been in there before, though I live in Hazelwood. I was my usual friendly courteous self, but I was stopped as I walked in, asked for my bag, which was a folded grocery bag I always use when I go for groceries and supplies. The rude tone, the music blasting made it all seem rather street and suspicious. I am a senior. I decided I would get a few items and leave. I asked at the cashier, “Do you have a lot of thieves in this store.” The store big, but empty. I said , Do you really think a senior is going to come in here to steal. I am a well dressed person. The guy blast this horrible street music. I said you know you can often discern the spirit in a person when you meet them. He agreed. I said you that music is full of spirits. He apologized and asked if I wanted him to turn it off. I paid for my three items and LL eft feeling unclean and horrible. The water I bought strangely smell of sewer. The usual white strap glued to this mountain spring water was not on any of the bottles. I resolved to never go back to this store. On the bus a you women was very upset. She asked had anybody been to the Family Dollar over there. She, too, was met by the rude woman, who asked her to pull down her hood, and take off her mask. I recommend there be an investigation into the complaints against the woman in charge and her workers to see what is really going on there.

    To whine it may concern im not sure if u all are aware of the robbery that happened in on September 6th 2022 at on about 7:40 pm in maywood Illinois but I was there in the store and it was a terrifying event. There were three woman working and one male and he was no where in the store to be found. I’m not sure if u know but this serves as our grocery store and our local i was in fear for my life and the lives of the others there in the store. I don’t feel safe and I really think u all should have a security guard at the door I will not be going back to that place ever again I could had lost my life

    i went into your family store im handicap and standing in them long lines takes a toll on me i ask the manager our they doing something about hiring people cause every time i come in store one cashier and the line so long the manager outside in car smoking every day while her one cashier on register this is truely not fare then the other day i go in store her friend there they both started yelling at me in front of kids i felt threatened and scare when i told her i was calling corporate she said go ahead i been here 3 years im not going no where her behavior as a manager was horrible its the store on straight street in paterson please send a secret shopper in there the store is so not together and i will not be shopping in that store ever again 😢😢😢😢

    I was in your Family Dollar in Marion Mi tonight. They have signs in front of items that say 50% off. I tried to buy some of those items and the worker told me I couldn’t have them for the 50% off because everything marked like that was marked wrong. Now if it’s marked wrong they should of immediately taken the stickers off. Then again if something is marked it should be sold at that price. I don’t know how you can get away with this. Apparently you don’t need customer’s. This is a small town and the closest bigger town is around 30 miles away. One would think you could do right by the customer’s you do have. I would like to know what you’re going to do about this?? I needed those items and when she told me no I left. So no sale for you.

    Hello, I am writing to complain about the Family Dollar at 1903 W Main St, Richmond Va. I haver been going to this store for over 10 years and it has changed managers more times then I can remember. The manager now has to be the worst one ever. You go into the store and there is loud music playing or he is on his phone talking loud. The store is a mess, the front door has been broke over two weeks. Yesterday I went to the store at 9:15am and it was not open, the staff were standing outside stating the manager was on the way. I went back to the store 30 minutes later and the one door that is working was locked and I had to knock on the door to get in. Entering the store it was a mess with boxes in the aisles and the manager was on his phone. Something needs to be done about this manager so the store can improve.

    I went to the family dollar in Avenal CA the staff are so rude and unhelpful. The store is a disaster, there are literally boxes everywhere you would think there are no employees. The refrigerators are leaking and there are water spills. This store is fairly new. I had my coupons clipped and the system wouldn’t honor them when I talked to the store manager she was rude and wouldn’t help. She said she didn’t know corporates number and said oh don’t call the number on the receipt because you’ll just get me and I was no help and laughed. I can’t wait for dollar general to open.

    Today I shopped at one of you guys stores,purchased an charger.Returned the charger because it didn’t work for the phone at all.I was told,they couldn’t take it back even though it was in its original box and I had the receipt for it too.The manager stated Family dollar would lose money if they took the charger back..So pretty much they item has to be unopened to be return,which is crazy because how would the customer know if it works or not if the box wasnt opened.Which means I was left out of $15 for a charger that doesn’t work,but Family dollar and the other company made their profit from it.Which isn’t fair to the customers at all! The whole experience was terrible even the employee was rude and rolling his eyes.This happened in Springlake, NC on ray road.I will NEVER BUY ANY ELECTRONIC ITEM OUT OF ANY FAMILY DOLLAR AGAIN,IF THIS IS POLICY!

    Family Dollar should look into Ozone for their warehouses and what it can do for infestations of bugs and mice. We use low dosage treatment to keep mice out. Larger coverage to kill pests. Converts back into 02 in 30 minutes. Safer that poisons.

    We keep our tornado shelter free of vermin with a low dose. Stop mice from chewing on vehicle wiring with the same little machines. Kill all vermin, ants, and deodorize the house if we use the bigger machine a few hrs. Harmless to humans after 30 minutes but we usually wait an hour.

    Can y’all do something about the fact that theirs mold all over the inside of the milk cooler at the family dollar in coal grove Ohio, it’s been like that for weeks we’ve told multiple employees and the manager and she said “ there no point in cleaning it when it’s gonna get moldy again, besides it’s not my job”.

    Can you please get the heat going at the greybull wyoming store it is so cold in your store its like your standing out shopping. Your employees are dress up in layer because they are so cold. The weather here has been between 19 to -19 degree . Their liquid stuff on your shelf starting to freeze. Please help your employees they shouldn’t have to work in these conditions. Would you work in place like that?

    I am concerned parent. I live in Hallandale beach area. I normally shop at 633 W. Pembrook Rd., Hollandale Boulevard at the family dollar store parking lot. It is dangerous just going to the store because the are heroin attic‘s that are posted at night near the store door asking for money can get aggressive. But was worse is the needles that I left behind. I informed the store manager and she blew me off. I’ve informed the employees and I was told that someone would clean it up. It has been over a month and nothing has been done. We need help in this community. What if one of our kids step in it.

    I am trying to find information on how to report multiple employees at a specific family dollar distribution center for on the job drug use. One in particular routinely gets injured on the job and is warned by supervisors about random drug testing.

    I have been going to the same Family Dollar forever for dog treats for my dog because he is so fond of them. For approximately the last two or three months every time I get to the register they tell me that the dog treats cost .50 more than they say on the shelf. I tell them go check for yourself, this is the price marked on the shelf. Well today I ran into the manager from hell who says that she would not make the price change because prices are changing everyday and they cannot keep up with the changing prices, mind you these have been the same price for at least the last 4 months and they have been to sorry to change the price at all because I have dealt with this each and every time that I have bought these dog treats! I think until they changed they changed the price I was absolutely justified in calling them out on the difference on the price. What do you think?

    Tried to reach Family Dollar on Montello St., Brockton, MA for two days by phone. Seems to be out of order.
    Also if you can contact the district manager to have the shrubs trimmed and maintained. They are going onto street and the property does not look very appealing at this time.

    I’m wondering why the Corp office havent return my calls..I left a voicemail no response yet.I was acuse of stealing a phone charger off the bathroom rug isle at the Family Dollar store on Goodman,ms.I didn’t steal anything and the police also watch the camera an seen I didn’t take anything.I want the manager fired😠😠
