    I was a customer for over twenty (20) years with Verizon. Customer service kept getting worse and worse, so I switched service.
    My bill was always paid promptly, for over twenty years. It was always told to me that my payment was for services that were up and coming. Example, if payment was due for August, it would be for September charges, if payment was due for October, it would be for November services, etc.
    So, November 2021, I made my payment of $101.54. That was to take care of my December charges.
    I was trying to get additional information regarding my bill and a possible upgrade that I was interested in, however: it became so frustrating to me to get service and a real person to address my situation, I said enough!
    I switched to a different service. Stopped in a Verizon store to find out my balance due (I still owed on my phone) the customer service person, said don’t worry, people switch all the time, Verizon will send you a final bill.
    (Verizon did send a letter confirming the transfer),
    No final bill came, Verizon sent me a COLLECTION NOTICE!
    Could not get a person to discuss this, I had to talk with the collection agency, i agreed to pay for balance of phone, they agreed with some additonal service charges!
    Verizon continues to send me a bill! this is so messed up and there is no one to discuss it with that talks! A real person!
    Verizon did NOT send a final bill, they sent me a collection notice!
    I certainly do not feel it is right to be treated this way and I sincerely hope someone from the company will return my concerns.
    I hope you do not feel that you are so big and powerful that the little people who supported you for a long time, don’t count.
