    I am have the same issue right now took my car to kwik kar on Feb 9th of 2019 for a oil change and inspection in Austin Tx and my car stop on me smoke coming out of tail pipe and hood and I live just maybe a mile or two from the place. And my car was running fine before I went in there. I stopped down the street to get my registration from the grocery store that was four blocks from the place came back out my car would not start first mechanic came out to assist because my car wouldn’t start back up after I came out of the grocery store while backing up my car he ding my door on the rail in the shopping center parking Lots in HEB he proceeded to tell me there’s nothing wrong with my car as I take off again headed home the car start smoking coming out of my pipe in my engine had to call them back again keep in mind I’m right down the street from the place and they asked me could I bring the car back up there and I told him I didn’t think it was going to make it because it was slowing down and smoke coming out of my pipes as I proceed to pull up in a gas station parking lot down the street from my house the car stops on me a second mechanic comes out as him and my ex-husband are popping the hood there’s oil all in the top of my hood and over my components now I’m in the process of trying to figure out what to do I have to get my car fixed this is the worst experience I’ve ever had I would not refer anyone to this place stay away the manager was very rude

    I had my truck 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 serviced on 6 Dec 2017 with total miles of 162,190 for cooling system flush and rear differential fluid change. On 28 May 2018 on a return trip from Houston, the rear differential fill plug fell out of the cover without my knowledge. This was noted after arriving home in Euless after the 300 mile trip. I noted that the entire back of the truck was covered in differential oil and that the plug was missing. The only explanation being that it had been hand tightened during the service.
    I called the Kwik Kar on 29 May 2018 and talked with a manager. He offered to come to my house after work and fill the differential and put a plug in, so that the vehicle could be driven the mile to the business location. Nobody came to the house on the 29th to perform this. On the 30th I brought the truck to the Kwik Kar to discuss the issue with the manager. At that time the manager tried to justify that the plug would have fallen out much earlier that 6 months or the 6,428 miles that the truck had operated in that time period. He said that the 12,000 mile 12 month warranty stated on the receipt was for parts only. Nowhere on the receipt does it state this. It states “No refunds, managers must be informed of any concern about repair work ALL WORK IS WARRANTIED 12 MONTHS OR 12,000 Miles”.
    The manager Jeb then stated that he would file the complaint with corporate, and that it may take up to 7 days for a response. At that time I asked for the phone number and for a complaint tracking number. The manager became irate and asked me why I needed it. I responded that I would use it to follow up with corporate. At this time I was accused of being irate and unreasonable, and that I had probably sabotaged my own vehicle. The second manager Moe then asked to talk to me outside, and we discussed the issue again. This conversation did not go any better, but he asked me to leave the vehicle so that they could remove the differential cover the next day to investigate. I agreed with the terms only if they would call me prior to work being performed so that I could be present. I returned on the 31st at 3:30 PM, and no work had been started. I was told that they would probably not have time until the 1st of June. I then stated that I was going to take my vehicle to another shop to inspect it for damage. Between all of the accusations on my character and their response to the issue, I no longer trusted them. I attempted to find a corporation phone number for Kwik Kar, only to find out that each shop is privately owned. One of the employees and a customer then informed me that Moe was the owner, which I will verify with the City. After 14 years of patronizing this business location, never having a claim in the past. I will never use this business location again, they are abrasive, rude and make unfounded accusations blaming the customer.
    I’m going talk to the city to get a bit more information. This will just confirm more of the lies. It wont get me any resolution. I have filed a complaint with BBC, and will continue warn as may people as possible about them. Including posting on every social media website I can find. I’m an honorable discharged member of the US Army who was there for Desert Shield / Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom. I’m a quality mamager for a helicopter manufacture. Integrity and honesty is my code. For them to accuse me of sabotaging my own truck, while driving my 3 year old grand daughter and brother in law back from Houston is insane. My truck has had two owner’s, my father and me. I have every maintenance record down to every fuel fill up. Yes it needs a needs a paint job, but every option works properly. This vehicle has enough sentmental value that I won’t ever sell it. So according to these unethical lieing piece of shi…. ndividuals, I completly disregarded who I am, my familys safety, and my fathers truck, just to get the rearend rebuilt. I will take me truck to another reputable repair shop for further investigation. If the rearend is deamed to be damaged and in need of repair, I will continue to procede with legal action against this location. Personally I have now lost faith in the Kwik Kar brand.
