I booked a hotel with Ocean Villas in Disney World from March 14th-22nd right when COVID shut everything down. I called Orbitz and was told to cancel our travel plans and we would be able to get a refund or rebook. I have spent days (literally) on the phone for the past 6 months trying to rebook or get a refund. I am ready to resort to Social Media. I was told in March that I couldn’t get a refund but I could rebook the Ocean Villas. I agreed and gave Orbitz dates for November. I never heard back from anyone, nor could I get in touch with anyone. Now I am being told that I can’t rebook either. I have used Orbitz for over 15 years of travel. I cannot believe the customer service that I have experienced. I continue to not be able to get a hold of anyone through customer service number and or get an auto generated email that states that I have to call to rebook our trip.
Please help me to refund my money or help us to rebook the Villas or a comparable property for May 29th – June 6th 2021.

We have a canceled flight that Orbitz refused to refund even if the airline had no restrictions. After we opened a dispute with our credit card company we were told that we could use the ticket amount to be used towards a future travel. The only way to book the ticket to use the credited amount is to call them and the price per ticket for the exact same route is about 600-700$ more than the price that I am able to pay online. This is over three days, hours of wait time and multiple routes. So basically they torture you with wait time and what is supposedly refunded to you is actually not refunded as they make up the difference. And impossible to talk with a supervisor. Never ever Orbitz.
I paid $1982.30 for two round trip tickets Chicago to Venice. Aer Lingus the airline cancelled the return flight. I chose the not to fly option offered and to get a refund instead. Orbitz after many discussions and agreeing to process a refund and the continued resetting of the processing time clock, has just sent an email saying 6-8weeks from now I should get a refund for $141. What????

I’m having a hard time obtaining a refund for a flight that was cancelled due to COVID-19 in the U.S. I read the information on your site and was told by representatives that I could use my refund. It’s been two days and each time , I’m on hold for more than an hour and now no one can seem to resolve this matter. Thank you for contacting Orbitz about cancelled reservation ID **** **** **** **** . And you’ve been issued a future travel credit with the total amount of 93.70 USD. The credit will only allowed for the same passenger and the same country of Origin. If there is a possible price difference for the new ticket the Airline will be collecting. Travel on the new ticket must be completed before December 31, 2021.

To Whom It May Concern: Under the recommendations from the CDC, the Department of Public Health and my 5-year-old daughter’s pediatrician, my family and I have cancelled our trip to Portugal which was scheduled to leave from Boston on July 27, 2020 and returning August 6, 2020. We cancelled and requested a full refund due to the ongoing COVID- 19 pandemic and the uncertainty of when it would be safe for us to travel again in the future. Also because we are currently unemployed at the moment. Our trip was booked through Orbitz, but I cancelled the flights directly through the TAP airlines website on May 13, 2020. We have travel insurance for the trip, but I am told I cannot submit a claim for this. I have spent many long hours on the phone either on hold or speaking with people from Orbitz and the airline. I have received nothing but mixed answers on policies and much aggravation in my attempt to get my refund. TAP airlines informed me that if the tickets were purchased in the United States, I would get a full cash refund but are pointing me back to Orbitz to obtain it. There were 7 passengers flying: Cristina DaRocha, Adam DaRocha, Adalyn DaRocha, Grace Freitas, Frederico Freitas, Cristiano Freitas and Beatriz Farias.
I am looking for assistance and would appreciate your help.

Poor customer service related to our recent trips that have been cancelled due to Covid-19. I have questions regarding two flights and a car rental that were cancelled and have been trying to reach a customer service representative for over ten days now.
