My husband and I made prier reservations and requested a room next to our daughter since she has a serious medical issue and had just gotten out of ICU. I requested it twice and the phone attendant said she would work on that.
When we arrived the desk clerk, Hana, was not very pleasant from the beginning. We were checking in at 11:00 pm. She put us in a room 30 rooms away from out daughter against what we had requested. My husband told her “no no no”, that that was unacceptable”. Hana than got very stern in her voice. My husband asked to talk to the manager and she said “I am the manager”. He told her he wanted to talk to corporate and she ignored him. Hana than told us that she does not have to check us in and can cancel our reservation because she said “of my husbands attitude”. I am 67 and my husband is a 76 year old US Army veteran. I told my husband that I will take care of this tomorrow and call the corporate office. My husband then apologized to her stating I know this isn’t your fault but we need to be close to our daughter in case something happens. She was ignorant and went in the computer and cancelled our reservation. She then went to the other desk and started dealing with another customer. We told her again that we need to stay close to our daughter. She then came back over and put us back in the room that was 30 rooms away. We got our room key and turned to leave and all this time she was so unprofessional, never smiled, rude, dis-concerned, very unfriendly, etc.

As we walked away my husband turned and looked at her and was upset and frustrated with the way she had treated us. She then raised her voice and told him “don’t you look at me that way because I can still cancel your reservation”. We turned and walk to the elevator and to our room.

Our daughter had left our luggage at the front desk and I went back down to the desk to get it. When I arrived I asked for our luggage and she asked me if I was so and so and I said yes. Hana then told me that she had called security and that we were being kicked out and if we didn’t go she would call the Police on us to have us removed. Not at anytime was she friendly, polite, accommodating, never once smiled. Just rude from the start. Security came to our room and was there to escort us off the property. Charlie Black the security man was wonderful and very understanding. He bent over backwards to help us find somewhere else to stay being it was 11:30 at night. Charlie Black was a lifesaver.

We have never ever been thrown out of a hotel in our 50 years of marriage. The experience was absolutely horrible and we have never encountered such a nasty attitude desk clerk as this young lady. I am angry at how we were treated and having to stay somewhere else away from our daughter. We owned a business and the customer was priority and always taken well care of. We would never have let our employees treat our customers in this manner even if we had to eat it. Customer first!

The Holiday in Express the clerk was great. He was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Horrible experience at the Homewood suite. Terrible service and I don’t recommend it because of the attitude and unfriendliness and not accommodating service.

    To whom it may concern:
There is a problem with third party reservations. Apparently to gain the reservation, the representative provided inaccurate information. On 3/31/19 my husband and I stayed at your Hampton Inn on the southside of Harrisonburg Virginia for one night while on a vacation. I made the reservation through Hotels.com and did not call the local hotel, which was a mistake. I requested a handicapped accessible room, or at least a room on the first floor, and was told this meant there were grab bars in the bathroom and an extra wide door. When we arrived, we found the door to be narrower than the one on the storage closet nearby, no grab bars, no raised toilet base, and the furniture arranged in such a way as to only barely allow passage with my walker. I could not open the door to the hallway with the walker in front of me. The room is on the second floor; in case of emergency, this is not acceptable. At checkout, I asked about all of this and was told we had been given a “hearing accessible room”, which I don’t need, and we had not been told this. I was also told at checkout that the receipt is available from Priceline where I had never contacted. I understand the problem is with Hotels.com, and I also thought you would like to know you are being misrepresented. Kudos to Dianne at the front desk, who was very understanding and helpful.

    Unpleasant hotel stay

    Dear Management of Hilton,
I am writing to you to make a complaint about worn out bed in our room, the unpleasant smell in the hall and the unprofessionalism of some of your employees.
We recently visited the Hilton Garden Inn in Cleveland OH. Our main goal was to be in walking distance of Progressive Field. We drove all the way from NM to watch the Indians play. Needless to say, after being in the car for a couple of days the convenience of the HGI caddie corner to Progressive field sounded perfect, no need to get back in the car to drive.
We checked in then rode the elevator to the 2nd floor, when we got off the elevator we were overtaken by obnoxious smell, we had to hold of our breathe from the elevator to our room. The room was clean. The bed on the other hand was unacceptable. Once we got in to go to sleep we both rolled to the middle, it was like being in a taco shell. The next morning, we let the front desk assist know of the problems, both the bed and the smell in the hallway. She informed us that she would put in a work order to have someone check on it. We left the room for about an hour and when we returned we were greeted with the maintenance man in the room. He informed us that there wasn’t really anything he could do because they don’t have other beds to replace it with, but he did let us know that he would flip the bed and it should be better. As they (my boyfriend helped) flipped it I noticed stains all down the side of the mattress, like someone had gotten sick and didn’t make it to the restroom on time. The maintenance man apologized for the inconvenience and said he would talk to the front desk to see if maybe he could get us free parking or a discount on the room. That never happened. This went on for 2 more nights. The morning that we were checking out of the room my boyfriend walked up to the front desk, key in hand mind you, to check out. Before he could say one word the front desk assistant rudely said, “we are booked, we don’t have any rooms available”. No “Hi, welcome to Hilton, how can I help you this morning?”. He let her know that we just wanted to check out and mentioned the situation with the bed. Her only response was “we couldn’t have done anything anyways we were booked those nights and wouldn’t have been able to change rooms for you.”
I have been waiting A LONG to visit Progressive Field and Hilton in soome way ruined what could have been a perfect trip!

Hilton copywriters surely know what they are doing. The “everything” and “right where you need it” plays superbly with the visitor’s expectations! But in this case, they failed.

I feel that we are due do some compensation, whereas, Hilton Garden Inn managed to ruin our vacation.

    To whom it may concern<
My wife and I just recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Chesapeake Va(. Greenbrier.) We were there from 6-1 though 6-3 checking out on 6-4.
During our stay there was an issue with the room not being cleaned. No towels replaced etc. I spoke to the front desk representative ( Kyle ) and he did a wonderful job of taking care of his customers. Accolades to him.
I spoke to the new General Manger Britney on Monday the 4th. Ms Britney will be an asset for the Hilton organization. She is very professional and listened to the complaint. She was appalled at the pictures I showed her. Ms Britney compensated me for our stay and apologized for the actions of her staff. She stated that this is not acceptable.
I will be back to that location in the future. It is nice to see young management people understanding the needs of the customer.
Many compliments and Accolades to Ms Britney and her mid shift front desk rep ( Kyle )
If you would like to contact me please feel free to do so
