This is what I posted on TripAdvisor after my recent stay. I am not satisfied whatsoever with the Marriott Sand Diego reply. There are several better, independent hotels that we can stay at, and will, after the service has gone down drastically. What good are points if the service is atrocious???

Have stayed here a few times, but most recently, and maybe because of the new Bonvoy acquisition, the service is awful. Housekeeping did not show up for two out of my three days. I asked at the front desk twice one day, and the second day, I asked the chambermaid personally as we were leaving for the day. The Marriott also now adds THIRTY DOLLARS a day for “ammenities” in addition to the room charge. It includes a wine tasting (half a glass of wine) and a $10 credit when you charge food from either Starbucks or their express cafe (Both of which are crazy expensive to begin with). There was a diaper in the pool at 9:30 pm when we wanted to take a quick dip. UGH and ICK!! Also, a CarPark charge of $30 for two days was on our checking out bill. We arrived by plane and had no car. The rep didn’t apologize when I pointed it out to her, and only said,”what’s your room number”, looked it up, and removed it. But not very nice or apologetic. I think this hotel is outrageously expensive for the care and service it provides and would not recommend it any more.

CREDIT ON BONVOY LOCATIONS, AND PAY AS I GO. IF NOT. DON’T WASTE MY FUCKING TIME MAKING OFFERS FOR ME TO

FILL OUT YOUR FUCKING APPLICATIONS, WHILE YOU GET A $300 DOLLAR PAY IN FOR EACH APPLICATION I FILL OUT, AND I

I stayed at your Key West Marriott last Tuesday. We experienced a lengthy power outage. I was surprised to see that with three giant generators all they powered were the front lobby and restaurant.
Furthermore only a few of the emergency lighting units installed to help Guest see in an a emergency, were operational. Many of the Exit signs were also non operational. To me this sends a red flag to not stay at a hotel where the facility manager does not keep up with the facility. Had this been at night in a fire or other emergency the outcome could have become deadly. I am certain that the batteries were all dead in those units that are supposed be checked monthly.
As a facility manager myself it is clear to me that your facility is not well cared for. Streaks on Kitchen cabinets molding that is badly damaged and dangerous guest conditions.
The room was under my brothers name Joel Dutton. You may have heard from him as well. I shot video of the non conformance of emergency systems. Please send me confirmation of the repairs to the lighting and exit signs, and I will keep my video to myself. Thank You Cary J Dutton

I was looking for an email address for the Corporate office to write a letter to personally let you know of the outstanding service we received from one of your employees, but where your email information should be listed it is shown as N/A.

I don’t like to publicly use a name on an open forum for privacy purposes. I will say however, there is a Ms. Adams at your Mayo Clinic location in Jacksonville, Fl who went above and beyond to help me and my elderly parents who needed to stay at this location near the Mayo Clinic for several days. Not only was Ms. Adams a pleasure to work with, she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and is an exemplary employee to represent your company. In my dealings with all at this location, we never heard the work no or the phrase, we can’t do that. Ms. Adams helped us with even relocating our room after surgery to make it easier to access. An employee like Ms. Adams should be acknowledged of how well she represents your company to the your customers. I travel a lot and it is rare to find this kind of customer service and one I will take the time to write about.

Your phone guy about the free vacation that I was selected for just asked me if I would like his dick up my butt. Any chance of having this guy who represents you, Marriott, meet me in the parking lot?

I contacted you on 11/12/18 about a really bad experience at your Fremont California Hotel on 11/10/18.
I was there taking a break from a hectic time in my life and looking forward to a nice evening. I got NO sleep. There were a group of people who were making so much noise. Many people contacted the front desk about this. I was told by your front desk that they knew about this and had sent security up OVER 6 times!!!! That is ridiculous!!!! Why we’re they not told to leave???? I explained this in my email on 11/12 to you. I got a response from your customer service saying you forwarded my email to the hotel itself and that I would hear back from that hotel within 5-7 business days. Today is 11/25 and I have heard NOTHING!!! I will not spend money to stay at hotel who does not give a damn about paying customers..I should have called the police. I have not given you a bad review yet because I was waiting on an explanation on how the hotel let this happen. I want an explanation!!!!

My husband and I stayed at a Courtyard by Marriott in Annapolis MD on Riva Rd, on Sept. 28 and 29, 2018. When I who is the Marriott Rewards member asked the girl at the front if I could use my points for Saturday night as several of my friends did she assured me I could. The girl was the manager, when she gave me the copy of my bill the only charge was 12.24 which was accurate. When my Chase bill arrived I was charged 400.02. I have called the Rewards customer service number twice , they gave me a case number and said someone would call in 3-5 business days. After 8days I called again. After being on the phone for 46 minutes I was told the manager ot the hotel had to approve the credit to my account, still no call and no credit! I am very upset and thinking of canceling my card, I have also been a vacation club member. Who can help me?

I was at the Fairfield Inn & Suites on 10/13/18. Myself and a few others attend a event. We came in later on that night and had a pillow fight. We were called to keep the noise down which we did. But, for some reason the second person at the front desk wasn’t happy. Instead of Jacob saying if you don’t tone it down well need to ask you to leave. Jacob threatened us with the police even though we had stop what we were doing. I’m not sure but I made us think it was because we were BLACK. Jacob needed to worry about the cracked and rusted tub, or the dirty towels, or no towels at the pool instead of harassing us. Maybe if he knew better he’d do better.

SERIOUSLY? Why does it always have to be “because I am black”. Stop playing the race card or it will end up being a racial problem. Jeez. The company sucks but do not give them enough credit to actually consider using a racial issue.

Because A LOT OF TIMES it IS because you are black. I went to a nail salon and was seated but not serviced. I waited and watched while another lady, not as **tanned** came in roughly 15 min after me w/o an appointment and she was not only seated right away but she was serviced right away.

This is ridiculous!!! I have been on hold for 1 hour and 24 minutes while calling 800-627-7468 the number I was provided for corporate. I joined the Marriott rewards program and booked a night for my child’s tournament. Unfortunately it was cancelled and they are unwilling to refund my money for a service I did not use even though the reservation is for Saturday 9/29 and I had 48 hours to cancel. How ridiculous can this be?? I’m open to getting a voucher for a night at another Marriott since I will be traveling for another tournament this week. But no one is able to help!!!!!

I am a long-time Marriort member. I tried getting into my online account today and neither my log-in or password worked. I requested log-in and password links and was told I would receive an email about the log-in and password. No email ever arrived and I did check my Spam.

I called into the customer care number, had a 6 minute recording about information that was irrelevant to me as I needed to get online to make a reservation. I was put on hold for over 25 minutes and finally hang up. I tried another Marriott number and was sucked into the same loop of more information when all I needed was help with logging in online. After another 15 minutes on hold – and no one ever helped me, I hung up!!

I phone the Marriort Corporate Headquarters to speak to the President of Marriott. A person answered and redirected my call to SPG representatives as ‘they would get to you sooner.’ I have now been waiting for a reservation specialist for over 20 minutes. THIS IS AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn – Marriot – in Livermore, CA. on Friday, August 17. The toilet over flowed in the middle of the night. After my complain at the desk, a new room was offered that was dirty and had mold in the bathroom. We left for another Marriot that had clean rooms. After many phone calls to the Residence Inn I was offered half discount. That is not satisfactory. I just spent 2 hours and 23 minutes with many, many transfers and no satisfaction. from your company. I have called 880-721-7033, and 800 and 800-535-4028 and
301-380-3000 and 703-883-1000 and 866-318-1852; I have been on hold for a long time. It is interesting that you are hiding a REAL place/person I can help me resolve this issue
.I WANT A FULL REFUND AND AN APOLOGY – IN WRITTING..

Thank you. Helena Friedmann [email protected]
