    The staff at the Planet Fitness facility in Allison Park (Hampton), Pennsylvania, 15101, did not perform their due diligence and only one of my check-ins were recorded for 2022, even though I went to that gym location several months of the year. I learned from the facility manager in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, that the Hampton, PA staff should have made the effort to stop me and to check me in with my phone number as my bar code rather than my black card bar code. The result of my not having check-in records is that I get ZERO reimbursement for my membership fees (plus time and effort at the gym) for the year. When I informed the staff at Hampton, PA of this issue, their response was that my membership was started at the Cranberry Township facility, and that since Cranberry Township was not within the same franchise as Hampton, PA, the Hampton, PA location could not help me.

    I will be visiting the Cranberry facility in person to cancel my Planet Fitness membership this week and will not be joining another Planet Fitness. I will seek out a competing gym that cares about its customers instead.

    P.S.) On the plus side, the manager at the Cranberry Township facility handled my questions and call very professionally and apologized that this was my experience, which I appreciated.

    They advertise no judgement. But I will. Your company has misspelled judgment throughout your corporation. Yes some spell it that way but it is wrong. All legal books and bibles throughout history spell it judgment.

    The spelling varies based on whether you’re writing UK or US English. In US English, “judgment” (no “e”) is the only correct spelling. In UK English, “judgement” (with an “e”) is standard, but “judgment” is used in legal contexts.

    I was going to sing up online and it says start up fee $1 but then also now giving me a prorate charge of $5.26. I called the location where I am going to go but the guy had no clue and couldn’t give me an answer. I asked him when your billing cycle is because you have been sending me things in the mail for $1 start up fee which I should get so if someone can get back to me and let me know when this billing cycle ends then I will sign up. Thank you!

    So this summer at planet fitness they are allowing teens 14 to 19 to come to planet fitness for free which is an excellent idea. My issue is large number of teens in the gym no adult supervision running around as if this is a playground playing around on the equipment. This place has turned into a teenage hangout spot until someone is injured. I am a paying member for years and don’t want to deal with someone else’s child while I’m working out. Something needs to be done. The gym is not a hang out spot or a park for kids to run free. I spoke to the front desk workers who are not much older than the kids they are responsible for supervising and she told me when they are busy they obviously can’t see what’s going on.

    I’ve been trying to cancel my gym membership at the Planet Fitness at 26068 US 290 Cypress, TX 77429 since November 2021. The GM is named Laura. I went in person in November and was told to come back and speak to a manager. The manager wasn’t in the next day. They told me to mail a certified letter. I have moved and there aren’t any planet fitness clubs within an hour of me. I’ve called the location. I’ve spoken with ABC Financial their payment company. Their number is 844-752-6348. I’ve sent emails. I’ve sent messages through the app. I sent a certified letter in December to cancel. In January I was told they never received it. I sent a second certified letter February 18th. In March I called again and was told they never received it On March 19th the post office brought me back the 2nd certified letter as “unclaimed, unable to forward”. The post office will not refund the postage because in the post offices words “it got there”. I called the club again. I spoke with Sage. She said she was a supervisor. She informed me that they haven’t received anything. She told me with quite a poor attitude that this was “all on my end” because I should have come into the club (which I did in November). She told me I had late charges now for each month and need to pay the annual fee due in February. After all these months, late charges, a new annual fee, I still have not been able to cancel my membership. Sage told me that this particular club gets numerous membership cancellations a day. I have competed every task they’ve asked of me over these 5 months to try and cancel my membership. In these tough times, Planet Fitness should be ashamed of themselves for treating people this way. I’m hoping someone out there can help me and the others that must be having the same trouble.

      I do here you on this I did a cancellation back in April and they’re still taking money out of my account just within the past three months they’ve been taking out $200 a month out of my account I live on a fixed income as it is I pay my bills and have nothing left so to be able to take $200 a month out of my account and then I miss either my car insurance or something else I’m still trying to cancel and nothing no one seems to no anything and they refuse to refund me my money so now I’m canceling my bank account so they get nothing see how they like that…

    The Mundelien, IL location has little in the way of customer service. I can’t get a response from them. The issue is that the staff is unable to open on time on the weekends. I need to be able to get into the club by 7 am in order to make it to work. The front door lock has been difficult to open for months. Only one staff member has the key to the back door. Other staff have to wait to get in. Numerous customers have to wait well past the 7 am open time to get in. This has been a problem for months. Please get the owner/franchisee to spend the money to fix the lock. I will pay for it, if he can’t afford it.

    I signed up less than 24hrs ago and paid $46 just to sign up. Now they are offering $1 sign up fee. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and I am not allowed to change to the $1 sign up fee.

    I had signed and opted out of my membership and automatic WD my friend and I joined the same day and opted out the same day. May of 2018 they were still taking my money in june of 2021 they got her opted out but not me. I opted out due to health reasons. I wanted to be compensated for my money they stoled from me. I think we all need to get a petition going in they areas where our clubs are and on here and file a lawsuit against the corporation. I know others in my area who has had the same thing happen to them. Poor management at these clubs train them to make sure when people sign to opt out that it goes thru! I’m for getting a petition up and taking this corporation to court!
